Fun with Photoshop: ExtraLife Ding Pong Challenge
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in “Art” and a minor in “Sociology.” I still wonder how I ended up in the software business as the Director of Technology and Software Engineering at a software company. I like to think that I put a little art in everything I do. *der*
Still, I need to scratch that creative itch once in a while. I’ve been using Photoshop since 1991 (on a color Mac in college), so when my e-friend Scott Johnson announced his latest Photoshop ‘put-this-guy’s-face-on-something-funny’ contest, I hopped to it.
Note: I normally don’t have time to mess around with non-work and non-family stuff, but I am out of town on business and have little to do this weekend except sit in my hotel room, do some coding, read some e-mail, and wait for Monday to come.
The picture above is the image of Scott Johnson’s non-blood-related relative, Matt. Scott J. affectionately calls him “Ding Pong.” The challenge: put Matt’s face on stuff and make it interesting, funny, and/or creative.
Here are my four pics:

They are good enough. I see things that I wish I had changed \when I did them, but my itch is scratched; I will not spend anymore time on them. “Good enough is the new perfect.”

Scott,
Just wanted to say your “Total Recall” pic is awesome. Ping’s face was set up perfectly for that. All the pics are great.
I found your site by Googling “outside my brain” (my blog is “Outside My Brain Again” over at blogspot – I know shameless plug, sorry, I’m just getting started here).
Anyway, clicked on the Google link and got your post about your daughter’s dream. That is such a cool description of a dream! Thanks for sharing.
