Me sticky to "Stickynote Theatre"
Posted under A Geek Dad's Life, Blog Posts
I came across this site and immediately became jealous; I wish that I had thought of this idea. Sticky Note Theatre!
I doodle quite a bit in meetings, and intermingle my system design sketches with stick figures being tortured and squished in between database servers, network nodes, and UML state diagrams. I can relate to the art of the sticky note!
Looks like he started it in Feb. ’07 and does 6-9 posts a month. I hope he keeps going.
Reminds me a bit of my currently-abandoned Barnapkin Warfare Designs blog that I started when www.MyDrawings.com started up. I got rid of my TabletPC and gave up the blog at the same time. I have a new sketchbook, but I don’t like the thought of scanning crap into a computer, posting, yada-yada. Too much work.
So when I see the Sticky Note Theatre site, the artist in me says “neato,” and the geek in me would need to automate the entire scanning and posting process before I could justify the time required to update the blog.

Believe me, I struggled with the idea of manual labor for the blog. But my system works fairly well and minimizes the pain involved.
1) Accumulate multiple stickynotes and bring home from office.
2) Take stockpile and scan in groups of 12 to 18 (sometimes I can squeeze more in if I cheat).
3) Crop and upload.
It’s not as bad as it seems…
Thanks for the post!
P.S. Those bar napkins are so rad…now I want to see some tortured-stick-man-stickynotes…
